Parsons Corp. in Pasadena, CA as a mechanical draftsmanand worked on such projects as the Alaskan Pipe Line and theHonolulu International Airport. Rex enjoyed many hobbies,including hiking, fishing, rock collecting and snow skiing. He hadtaken creative writing classes in high school, which led to his loveof writing short stories. Rex was tragically killed in a snow skiingaccident on February 16, 1979.
