Finnian lost both of his parents when he was a boy during a raid by Hume's greatest enemy, the dreaded Orcovans. Now, as one of Hume's most skilled swordsmen, Finnian has devoted his life to fighting the Orcovans who constantly threaten the security of his homeland. However, a new threat has emerged when border patrols start going missing and Human soldiers are inexplicably attacked by the mysterious, snakelike race, the Serpens.
