Making Friends

This is a tale of friendship based on the real characters portrayed in this childrens book. Both Captain Jimmy and Ms. Modo are known to the residents of A dock at Shilshole Bay Marina in Seattle. During the summer months of 2003, Kristen observed the antics of these cats and other creatures on the dock. All the illustrations and the story are written by Kristen R. Sierra.The motor vessel Lotus is a large part of this tale. Lotus was built in 1909. She is now moored in Seattles Lake Union near the Center for Wooden Boats.
