Omoo: Adventures in the South Seas is a novel by Herman Melville, first published in 1847. Building on the success of his earlier work "Typee," Melville continues his exploration of the South Pacific through the eyes of the protagonist, Tommo, who finds himself embroiled in a series of adventures and encounters in the exotic and sometimes perilous world of the Polynesian islands.
