View full details

Description
The Sundering Flood is a late romance-fantasy novel by William Morris, one of the founders of the modern fantasy genre. The story is set in a mythical medieval-style world and follows the life of Osberne, a young warrior who is separated from his beloved, Elfhild, by a vast and dangerous river known as the Sundering Flood. The river acts as both a physical and symbolic barrier, dividing the lovers and shaping the entire narrative. Osberne’s journey is one of endurance, loyalty, and questing heroism. He travels through war-torn lands, encounters battles and hardships, and seeks a way to cross the flood and reunite with Elfhild. Meanwhile, Elfhild also endures her own struggles on the opposite side of the river, maintaining hope and fidelity.
