Eleonora

Eleonora is a romantic and emotional short story written by Edgar Allan Poe, first published in 1842. The story follows a young man who lives in a beautiful and peaceful valley with his cousin Eleonora. Their deep love and happiness make the valley seem magical and full of life. However, when Eleonora becomes seriously ill, she asks the narrator to promise that he will never love another woman after her death. After she passes away, strange events and feelings of guilt begin to trouble him when he later falls in love again.
