Going, Going, Gone Volume One

This book contains a collection of poems and verse about a variety of extinct, rare, endangered, or threatened species of the Western Hemisphere. Always factual in content, they also appeal to the readers emotions and will. I hope they will be enjoyed by classroom teachers and their students, as well as family units, as they share the information found here and discover how to make a difference in the lives of so many creatures upon our planet.Some poems were written for fourth to sixth grade reading levels and some for seventh to ninth grade reading levels. I have found that students younger than ten enjoy themif they are read to them enthusiastically. There is also a &quote;Toddler Time&quote; section.
