Little Lord Fauntleroy

Little Lord Fauntleroy is a children’s novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, first published in 1886. It tells the story of a kind-hearted American boy who unexpectedly becomes heir to a British earldom. The main character, Cedric Errol, grows up in modest circumstances in New York with his loving mother. After the deaths of his father’s wealthy English relatives, Cedric is taken to England to be trained as the next Earl of Dorincourt.
