Prancing horses, sleek greyhounds, and a charismatic goat add excitement and pageantry to a summer opera festival when animal trainer Dulcy McGuinnesss becomes involved in backstage -- and onstage -- intrigue. Wealthy impresario Rico Farinelli has picked three popular, bloodthirsty operas suitable for showcasing two volatile sopranos: his wife and his mistress. At the suggestion of Dulcys lover (the orchestras conductor), Rico has hired her to provide the animals for his productions. This scenario, combined with the assorted temperamental and eccentric artists connected with any theatrical undertaking, offers numerous opportunities for mayhem and murder, both staged and for real!
