Main Street

Main Street is one of Sinclair Lewis’ most famous works, first published in 1920, and it marked a turning point in American literature. The novel is a sharp social commentary on small-town life in America, particularly the provincialism, narrow-mindedness, and stagnation that Lewis saw in small-town America at the time.
