Paradise Regained

John Milton's sequel to Paradise Lost chronicles the temptation of Christ as represented in the Gospel of Luke. This epic poem portrays Jesus Christ, the son of God, in a plain and human light. Told in a more straight-forward manner, this work shows Milton's maturity as a poet as he attempts to reverse the &quote;loss&quote; of Paradise.
