Dr. Joe G. Ahmadifar.He grew up in the MiddleEast. He had a diffi cultlife there until his midtwenties. He dreamed ofa better life for himselfand his family. In 1970he came to the UnitedStates to receive a highereducation. After earninghis bachelors degree in chemical engineering, he went backto his homeland and eventually worked for the Ministry ofOil in Iran until 1986 in a high ranking position. In 1986 hecame back to the United States permanently. Joe went on toearn and Masters degree in Industrial Safety Education. Heobtained a Doctorial degree in Mathematics Education andhad a successful engineering career. Currently he is retiredfrom a state environmental agency and is an adjunct professorat two universities. He is fulfi lling his dream since educatingothers is his passion. Joe has been happily married to ShahinAhmadifar for thirty fi ve years. He has three children andthree grandchildren.
